Re: Help with Entero Results please -thank you=) GF for 12+ years~
Hi Gabes, Thank you very much for that information. I spoke to my pharmacist today and she researched all of the medications I have taken. I am taking one medication that has a very small amount of lactose anhydrous in it (milk sugar). I only take 1/2 of that pill a day and it is a tiny circle pill....

Re: Help with Entero Results please -thank you=) GF for 12+ years~
Hi Gabes, I just wrote to Vital proteins and will see if I can get an answer. I am truly confused about the inflammation considering I'm not eating any eggs, dairy, or soy. I stopped eating eggs in July 2022. I have had 2 egg whites once since then and didn't have any immediate reaction but didn't h...

Gabes & Tex, First, thank you so much for replying. I feel like a pain and really appreciate you both taking time to respond! It means a lot to me!! I feel like Tex's idea that my sensitivity level is uncommonly high may be correct. I truly have been meticulous with my diet for so long-- long be...

Help with Entero Results please -thank you=) GF for 12+ years~
Hi there! I was hoping for some help with these results. I have been GF for 12+ years so I'm a bit surprised. I only eat at home— Never ever eat out ---literally, even before I had MC. Before I had MC I was very sensitive to eating out so I just didn’t do it! I bring my own food if I have to go anyw...

To test or not to test? Enterolab
Hello! I'm trying to decide if the Enterolab tests would be helpful to me. I have had A LOT of other tests done (stool, IGg, etc). Wondering if anyone has any thoughts/advice on if I should get the tests done? I was diagnosed back in April of last year and have written on the board a few times. I've...

Re: Sandoz Cholestyramine
Hello!
Can someone tell me the difference between the light orange and orange cholestyramine? I saw all the NDC numbers and I want to ask my doctor for one but I'm not sure which one to ask for. Thank you!!!

Re: Newbie trying to navigate MC (CC)
Thank you SO Much for your response, Tex. I have read and learned from you about problems with the stopping/starting the budesonide but I was hoping that since I was still taking 3mg, that I was not technically "stopped." I am probably wrong though. I will try to put the dose back to 9mg a...

Re: Getting off PPI - can cause a flare??
Thank you, Gabes & Tex! I'm getting off the PPIs no matter what but I know for me, I need to do it so it's manageable since it's been like 8+ years. Thankfully, I've always been on the lowest dose of raberzole and I have a lot of esophageal soothing supplements that can help...still not super fu...

Getting off PPI - can cause a flare??
Hi all, So I'm finally trying to get off PPIs after being on them for many years. I'm weaning slowly and doing a functional medicine protocol where you take the PPI one day and H2 blockers the next. I am only one week into doing this every other day thing and last night I had one of the worst flares...

Koch's Ground Turkey - no soy
I have been eating a lot of Koch's organic ground turkey and seem to do well with it but was wary of the rosemary extract. I wrote to the manufacturer and asked about their rosemary extract and they said it is derived from sunflower oil and there is no soy in it. Just wanted to let people know! I ge...

Re: Newbie trying to navigate MC (CC)
Thank you to both Gabes and Tex for taking the time to read my story and respond. I really appreciate your feedback. I have access to university databases and have a number of research articles on how PPIs increase risk of IBD and MC. I am seeing a different GI doc who is also a functional medicine ...

Newbie trying to navigate MC (CC)
Hello! First post to the forum! I apologize, in advance, if this is long and confusing!!! Newly diagnosed CC in April (2022). Other GI diagnoses include GERD, hiatal hernia, lactose intolerance, Celiac (genetic testing and symptoms), and Barrett’s, and I had SIBO a number of times. Was IBS-C for mos...
