Do you know what kind of tea they were referring to in the study? I do lots of herbal tea, but have pretty much eliminated caffeine....

slippery elm has been great for me... we'll see

Well, I know everyone is different, but I have to say I think Slippery Elm (I could only find capsules although I know it comes in bark and in tea, and something else I think) has really helped me lots. I had quite a flare (turn on the faucet!) this past week, and after a few days of the Slippery El...

Thanks Tex for the suggestion to SEARCH. It took me a little bit to find that search word, but I did it! How cool. I didn't know I could do that on this site. Fabulous.

slippery elm bark?

Me again! Always a question...

Has anyone on here ever tried slippery elm bark or other herbal remedies to get their gut back to normal?

(So interesting to be 40 and re-learning what is healthy in general and that I'm feeding my kids crap everyday! LOL The lovely American diet!)

Eggs?

Does anyone have an issue with eggs????

After being much better for a bit, I'm back to a running faucet. THe only thing I can figure is I've been trying to eat healthier and have been having eggs for breakfast...... hmmm.....

Thanks for any input.

Thanks - eating wrong stuff still!

Hi again, Thanks to those who answered my diet post. It seems I'm eating lots of things that still are not good for my tummy.... As I've given up gluten and caseine, I've added more almonds, apples, and salsa (to go with those tortilla chips)... and potatoes and bell peppers - yummmm (or maybe not I...

Also... if fruits and veggies do better cooked, what about raw apples and raw bananas? do many tolerate these well? And as my main meals and snacks, I've been heavy on corn chips and tortillas (all corn)... I'm still enjoying baked potatoes and homemade fries as well. I need to take this one step fu...

food question - next step

HI everyone. My update and a few questions for you. Diagnosed with MC a few years back. Never even thought about diet until this year. Treated in the past with Entocort for 6-8 wks which cleared up D till the next flair. So..I found all of you, and went GF immediately - got remarkably better but sti...

Anemia?

Hi All - My computer was down for over a week - i can't believe how many posts i missed in between! My GP called me with news of Anemia (after blood test) - is this common with microscopic colitis? I thought I read somewhere that it could be. Both my numbers were low. (?) Any insight would be amazin...

stomache feels "heavy"

Hi all - Not quite sure how to even describe this - but for the past few days I just have an uncomfortable heavy feeling in my stomach - higher up, not the normal gurgly places... I've been staying on GF and CF - I just don't feel all that good - no D still, not "normal" (whatever that is)...

Hey Scout, I was dx with MC a few years ago. Went GF & CF within the last few weeks. I have to echo the "be strict" thing although I was bucking it for a few days and trying to figure a way around it. I seem to have NO problem with coffee (thank goodness!) - i did quit my diet soda and...

thanks for the info on Celiac with the colonoscopy - i did not think anyone went that testing route for me - not sure why...but I suppose with the MC/LC diagnosis why would they hunt anymore? And doesn't matter too much to me...my gut is unhappy and if no gluten makes it happy, then who cares!
