Re: SAFE FRUITS

Thank you for your replies - I met a new friend with MC and Hashimoto's (also Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency like I have), and she said she was able to tolerate berries, but NO bananas. Each one of us are so individual, and I can see it's going to take time, a well-kept food diary, and patience t...

SAFE FRUITS

I was surprised to read that watermelon is not tolerated well by most mc patients. I'm pretty much gutten free, dairy free, soy free now, and trying to stick with a very limited diet. I find myself craving fruit. Are there guidelines on safe fruit? Diagnosed with MC and Endocrine Pancreatic Insuffic...

Re: Dehydration

I'm new as well and feeling my way with the guidance of this wonderful support group. I've just started Electrolyte Gummies to take throughout the day rather than drink the sugary gatorade or others that have no appeal. I drink water ALL day long frequently. Tried Coconut water and didn't like at all.

MC and Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency

I was diagnosed with MC after results from a colonoscopy (couple of weeks ago) and then diagnosed with Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency (EPI) (Pancreas not producing enough Enzymes to digest food properly and distribute nutrients) the next day from fecal tests. The GI's nurse immediately prescribed...

Re: MAGNESEUM

Received the Ancient and cut Magnesium down to 100 mg, so not feeling as nauseous. Wonderful side effect has been 2 nights of sleep with this lotion.
Thank you so much for this guidance.

Re: MAGNESEUM

Hi Jennifer - I ordered both of the magnesium products you suggested. Was there any special way you applied these, before bed or after bathing
- I've received the Ancient Minerals, and directions just say all over the body

I'm grateful to find this site - Diagnosed just a week ago, after almost 5 months of being chained to Mr T. Now going to try to read and read and read the many wise contributions to this form.

Thank you Gabes!

MAGNESEUM

I've been taking 3 Magnesium per day, as Tex recommended it may help with my nausea. It has helped. I had been taking Niacin, and stopped that thinking it might be the culprit ... Between discontinuing Niacin and taking Magnesium & Vitamin D3 the nausea is greatly reduced. However I believe the ...

CHICKEN or BEEF

I've just completed Tex' book and do not see chicken or beef on the list as a safe food. Where I live, we don't have many Emu, Goat or Antelope choices (Kidding). I see recipes for Cornish Hens, Beef Bone. To be honest I'm not much of a meat eater anyway, but my mainstay lately has been beef & R...

Re: ELECTROLYTES

Tex - Do you think baking soda in water could aid with my nausea?
I remember my mother giving me this and/or Canada Dry.
Got your book and diving into it.

ELECTROLYTES

Electrolytes are stressed as very important. Sports drinks have a lot of sugar and other drinks offering electrolytes have artificial sweeteners. Can you please suggest a good source of electrolytes. Many thanks

Re: RECOMMENDED SUPPLEMENTS versus CREON

Thank you for your reply. I will post only in the main message of the forum from now on, and thank you for the direction. I hope by simply replying this goes to the right place. The Creon is for Exocrene Pancreatic Insufficiency. My dilemma is how to swallow these expensive pills and hold them down ...

RECOMMENDED SUPPLEMENTS versus CREON

I'm new - my first post - and so grateful to find this site. I've been finally diagnosed with MC and EPI after 4+ months of progressively worsening conditions, many tests, 3 Doctors and of course a colonoscopy. The Nurse Practitioner at my GI has recommended 36000 units of Creon. I'm very reluctant ...
