Re: Major breakthrough for diet non-responder: low stomach acid (THANK YOU Laine!)

Wow, Audrey, I am so happy for you. I am in a similar spot as you, having gone almost a year without eating anything other than the few foods identified as safe after Enterolab testing. I am careful, all the time, and my situation is still not good. Had not considered the possibility of low stomach ...

Re: Fiber question

Thanks, Tex. Had tried to find anyone else with immediate headaches after eating or taking something in older posts without success. Was hoping I had missed something but it sounds like that is not the case. Appreciate your response and all of your research.

Fiber question

Is it possible to be allergic to psyllium or fiber in general? I understand it is a strange question, but here is why I ask. I decided to purchase a type of psyllium fiber that you mix in water, and it gave me immediate headaches every time I took it. I thought the additives might be the issue, so I...

Re: It working so far!!

Great to hear you are doing well, Ms Vic. I have not had any experience with buckwheat bread, but this week my husband found a cassava flour biscuit recipe that I think is great. There are lots of versions out there for the Paleo diet, I will share my link if you are interested. He has made some oth...

Re: Recommendations for GF/SF personal care items (makeup, lotions, SPF, etc.)

Thanks, Audrey! I will give jojoba oil a try. In some of my searches for ingredient in products, a tool called Skinsafe appears which lists allergens in products. With it I learned that Clinique lipsticks are not only gluten free but also soy soy free. I looked up a couple of Ulta makeup products I ...

Re: Enterolab, making changes

Hi Tex, It helps, so much. Have been thinking about these things all day. Very scary to think of wheat everywhere but it makes so much sense. My son was extremely sick before his celiac diagnosis, making him conscientious about his diet. Every now and then he would still get sick on a gluten free di...

Enterolab, making changes

Received my Enterolab results earlier in the week and like others, received some surprises. Thank you to those who responded to so many others, it was super helpful to read back through the posts now that I have my own results. Have been gluten free for many years, and live in GF home. Have progress...

Re: Recommendations for GF/SF personal care items (makeup, lotions, SPF, etc.)

Hi Audrey! Thanks for these recommendations. I am just starting to look at products as I only received my enterolab results this week, so I don’t have anything to share yet, but I will pass them on when I do. I had a significant response to almond (it was a 3 with mean 24) so I am wondering if I nee...

Re: A year since my diagnosis....

Thanks, Joy. You are right, it is SOOO much planning and work. Appreciate you sharing. Very much hoping I will be able to eat eggs and dairy, at least lactose-free dairy as I do now, but waiting on testing before I pull that trigger.

Keep us updated!

Re: A year since my diagnosis....

Hi Joy, Sounds like you have made a lot of progress in the year. Hope a year from now I can say the same. Not a new diagnosis for me but no longer willing to settle for being sick all the time. Did you do an elimination diet and/or testing to determine your safe food? Surprising to me also as a long...

Re: Here and already learning

Thank you, Tex, That makes sense about the Imodium. Appreciate your thoughts. I will give a low dose of the magnesium glycinate a try. I really don’t want to get back into a migraine jag- have had them for weeks at a time. I purchased your book, and I will review the newsletters. Have already gotten...

Here and already learning

Hello! I am so happy to have found this place and appreciate all those who have shared your stories and knowledge. I was diagnosed with MC 15 years ago, and have been gluten free a couple of years longer than that. Our family went GF in solidarity with my son when he was diagnosed with celiac diseas...
