I thought I should write an update on my condition, as perhaps others could benefit from this experience. After my MRT test I have eliminated all the offending foods and continued with the restrictive diet, which on top of being GF, SF, CF, YF and Corn and Potato free, was also FODMAP free. The pain...

This comment on beetroot is interesting, however my urine was dark red. Also, according to the schematic explanation of the mechanism which causes food sensitivities, provided by the LEAP organization, leaky gut is usually the precondition for these to occur. I am fairly certain I have leaky gut, be...

Thanks for your help. My dietician thinks that what I have is a case of dysbiosis, never mind what has caused it. I am going to see my GE on Monday, and will ask him if checking on parassite infection or bacterial/yeast infection makes sense., given that these causes can create or aggravate dysbiosi...

Good news, bad news - an update after my MRT test

Hi, I was diagnosed a year ago with LC. (After a colonoscopy and biopsies). My main symptoms have been abdominal pain and weight loss. My Enterolab results were inconclusive for gluten or casein, only some excess fat in the stool was found.I couldn't take entocort, so anyway all I had was a diet: Gf...

Alternative medicine and MC

I have just read the book by Andreas Moritz: "Timeless Secrets of Health and Rejuvenation". I bought it out of curiosity, to find out what an "alternative medicine guru" has to say about good health. I am certainly not qualified as a doctor or even as a biologist, but I have no d...

I would generally suggest, to stop buying anything ready made. Buy the ingredients and make things yourself, then possibly divide into smaller quantities and freeze. My staples are: extra virgin olive oil, white rice, millet flakes, fresh beef. I have stopped buying the chicken, because it can be hi...

The difference between the two tests is, that Enterolab will give you results for gluten, casein, soy and yeast sensitivities, as well as a genetic test, while MRT tests will give you results to sensitivity to some 150 foods and food additives. The MRT tests seem more directed to people with occasio...

I think you should follow the prevailing opinion on this foum, which is to start your diet with a few "safest" foods, see your reactions and only start experimenting to add new foods one at a time. In my experience, removing ALL fiber, as well as any raw foods and sugar, has been beneficia...

Thank you for posting this. I have been struggling to see an improvement in my MC conditions after 7 months of strict diet, and I have begun to reflect on articles relative to mast cell and histamine involvement. I have never been able to verify if I had any intolerance to gluten or casein (negative...

I wonder if anyone knows, whether ME and LC are mutually exclusive, or can they coexist? After reading some information about ME, it looks to me like my symptoms are closer to it than to LC, which I have been DX on the basis of biopsy - unfortunately I had no biopsy of the small intestine made...

I get that burning type of pain, if I tresspass by drinking some coffee ol alcohol, therefore I conclude, that it is a simple effect of an irritant on the gut. In fact it usually passes if I eat some stock soup with rice afterwards.

When I looked up on the internet, these "low inflammatory foods" were mainly "healthy whole grains" and similar nonsense. The only thing which rngs true, is to avoid fats other than olive oil (and perhaps oconut oil). The point about MC diet, is that before you can have a meaning...

Yes, the low residue diet is the goal initially, although you have primarily to avoid foods you react to. My mainstay is fish, meat, chicken, eggs, rice and millet flakes, plus bananas and apples (both boiled) and a bit of squash soup and some boiled carrots. I eat millet flakes boiled in water with ...
