Glad that is the case, because we are pretty sure it caused mine. And that I seemed to recover when I stopped it. Now I have kept a strict GF diet, too. So, that could have made it better. I wish you the best. This board has helped me greatly over the years.

Benicar can cause MC. I have not been on the board for a while, but I got deathly ill in May. I had started taking Benicar again after stopping it not long after I was diagnosed with LC. Now, they think Benicar may have been the cause all along. You should go right back to the doc and take an articl...

Nancy, I am so glad you are doing well on the Imuran. It has been a great solution for me, too. I have not posted for a while because I am back to my normal "very busy" life. LC had taken that away from me and the Entocort and then Imuran gave it back. I am completely GF and make most of m...

Hi Nancy, I could not get off Entocort and my GI doc suggested Imuran. After very careful consideration and a lot of study, I decided to try it. I have had very good results. I was able to stop Entocort completely and I feel very well. As some of the members of the board know, I tried diet alone, bo...

That's the spirit! Always take that attitude and you will be fine! Concentrate on good analysis and the rest will follow. I usually tell students they don't have writer's block, they have analysis block. Figure out what you need to say and the writing becomes less stressful - still hard work, but mo...

Hi Marliss, Just checking in to see how you are adjusting to the CPAP. I have used one for a couple of years. (And, so does my DH) My sleep problems were weird (as are most of my issues) but the CPAP has made a difference in several of my health issues. I have purchased equipment from a couple of on...

Thank you, Tex, I feel fortunate. I know Imuran is a somewhat controversial treatment option in your mind. My doc has used it successfully before and I am glad now that I tried it. Perhaps it is the right combination of medicine, diet and rest. But, whatever it is, I am happy to be feeling more well...

Yes, Sara, Joe's experience with and knowledge about Imuran helped me with my decision. I don't know what I would have done without this board. I have learned so much! The fatigue and pain improved dramatically when I was taking both the Imuran and the Entocort. I have not felt that good in the last...

Reporting - Feeling much better on Imuran

Hi All, As some of you remember from earlier this year, upon my doctor's advice, I started a treatment protocol using Imuran as the primary treatment. I had been on Entocort since last summer when my LC was diagnosed. I have what they call a "refractory" case. Without medications, I kept l...

I make the banana "ice cream" by freezing the bananas and then throwing them in the food processor with a little honey or agave nectar. Yum!

Glad you are feeling better, Joe!

Hi Joe,
I am so glad you are feeling a little better! You have certainly been through the ringer this summer. While I am sure the delay in approval for you move is frustrating, sometimes things work for the best. I hope you have time to relax and get well!

My son got married a year ago when I was in the throws of undiagnosed LC. I was in and out of the hospital. I just did not eat. Now, I would simply make sure the caterer prepared a gluten free meal for me or if I were unsure about the caterer, I would prepare a meal ahead and have the caterer serve ...

I had my hysterectomy before MC, but it was the best move I could have made. I feel a lot better without having to deal with the cramps and bleeding. I cant take HRT, so I kept my ovaries. I am glad I did. I have never regretted my decision to "get it over with." I wish you the very best! ...
