Feeling good :)

I'm posting this to hopefully be an encouragement for those who are flaring and thinking they'll never be "normal" again; and also for myself so that I can look back in the future and remember what happened. I just came out of the longest flare I've experienced to date. This flare started ...

Thanks, Carol and Janie. I’m happy to eat at home these days, but sometimes you can’t (when traveling, for instance), so it’s good to have plan😛

My hands were numb every morning, and it was carpal tunnel! Surgery on both wrists solved it. :)

Thanks, Brandy :) I hesitated to go anywhere but home to eat while I'm still reacting, but my friends feel like they can help me by taking me to a restaurant. I keep telling them I am okay eating my same old same old because I am pretty sure it is helping me heal. Any time I go out, I worry that I w...

Terry, Gabes, Tex thanks. It helps to know that others are having the same experiences..it’s our “normal”. Will keep on keeping on. I was hoping I’d be better off by now. Leaving on our cruise in 3 weeks. Oh well. Focusing on other fun activities instead of food.

Sorry...by same thing, I meant the normal bm followed by watery d 2 hrs later, and then no BM for the rest of the day. I avoided chicken after Thursday’s WD, didn’t eat my rice as it was cooked in the chicken stock. Well, hopefully, this is a “going into” instead of “coming out of” remission. Feels ...

Vaccinations

So, I'm applying for teaching jobs (we're moving in a few months), and one district is requiring an MMR vaccine. I had mumps when I was 6 years old. Does anyone have a similar experience, where you had to have a vaccination? Did you have an adverse reaction?

Frustrated and Depressed

Every time I think I'm on the road to recovery, I have a setback. This time it's not quite clear what caused it. I am eating meats (usually turkey, pork, beef, bacon (sparingly)) Last week I was talked into going to Chick Fil A by well meaning friends. They have grilled chicken nuggets, and usually ...

Replying to my own message... I feel a little confused at where to start, or whether to just keep on keeping on. The diet is working (no gluten, dairy, soy, or eggs, no fresh fruit or veggies, no fiber). Had an appointment with my GI, who was impressed that the diet alone was working (despite a coup...

Help with Enterolab Results--Kris (arizwldcat)

Okay, got my test results back ( wow, were they ever fast! They received my sample on Thursday and it's Monday morning.) Lots of surprises here. Most of my reactions appear to be mild. They seem to recommend just eliminating foods that had the strongest reaction first, correct? Any help/advice is ap...
