It's so wonderful to be in Munich (great weather) and be done with moving! Moving is horrible! I never thought I would be able to fit everything into three bags + my carry on. At 10 pm, I discovered that my carry on was 38 lbs. instead of 22 lbs. and had to have another go at repacking!!!! I'm glad ...

Seattle
Hi all, I had a super terrific time in Seattle. All the restraunts I went to were extremely sensitive about the gluten and casein thing, and I had some really delicious food. For the Seattle folk, I ate at Seriphinos, Anthonys, Calcutta Grill, and Arnie's. I'm finding I can eat more and have less re...

Tex, You know, there are so many different opinions about treatment. I am sure that you can find something contrary to anything I suggest. The good vs. bad ratio is not strictly from Dr. Sherry Rogers, but from any number of experts as you say yourself. I think it might even be mentioned in the leak...

Sally, What you said made total sense to me! Just to clarify, having had a number of this type of test before, a doctor like Dr. Sherry Rogers, MD says that we should have way more good bacteria than bad bacteria...I forget what the actual percentage is...but tons more good bacteria...so that the ba...

Sally and Cristi, Doesn't it depend on the degree of dysbiosis that the individual is experiencing? If you are strong, sure no problem. You can just offset the fact that the antibiotic kills the good bacteria by supplementing with a probiotic. But if you have a high level of dysbiosis, way more bad ...

Tex, according to Wikipedia, caprylic acid is used to treat some bacterial infections. The type of testing that Cristi had done indicates which specific agents are effective for the specific bateria at hand, at least in vitro, so this probably explains the recommendation. Cristi, that's TERRIFIC abo...

Oma, I'm glad you are tracking down that cause! My rheumatoligist made it clear to me that I do not have arthritis; I get 'arthralgias' - joint and muscle pain that is not arthritis. Maybe you do indeed have arthritis, but thought I would mention this in case you actually might have arthralgias too ...

Jean, this is sage advice! I am going to stick with your approach from now on. I ate too many different things to know what the culprit was. I don't think I react to soy, but I'm not sure. Tex, I guess there is no safety for us in a Chinese restaurant even if it's first and foremost Japanese! It wou...

Calling MO and Marsha
Hi you two, When I thought I had a sulfite issues, I bought Rick Williams 'book' Sulfites and Chronic Dieease 2002. Well, it's not actually a book, but it's a notebook of complete information on sulfites and diet. I hate to just throw it away now. Would either of you be interested in it? If so, just...
