Medical Codes

Does anyone have the medical codes for MC, CC & LC handy? I've got a meeting with my horrible attorney in the morning, and apparently he doesn't remember that I already gave them to him. I can't find where I wrote them down. Coincidentally, I am out of remission and having my first pure stress-i...

Polly--

I lost my uncle and a dear friend to pancreatic cancer. I am so sorry about the stress you are feeling about your husband and your son. At least your son will get to spend some time with his uncle. I wish I could have had more time with mine. Please take care of yourself.

Love,

Zizzle-- I have learned to avoid sushi at all costs. The only flare I have had since I became radically gluten-free was when I was out of town and ate sushi, thinking I might be safe. WRONG! I have learned the hard way that if I want to remain in remission I cannot even chance having the slightest b...

Zizzle-- I've avoided GM foods for years now--they've been at that Golden Rice stuff for over ten years and have not managed to make it work yet. There is a good site to go to that keeps track of all of that stuff; it is either gmwatch.com or gmwatch.org. I've always thought they could have an impac...

Zizzle-- Yep, still drinking the shakes. I make them with lactose-free milk and add a banana and strawberries or blueberries. I have a commercial-type blender, so I'm able to get my fruit fix daily without having any problems. I've had to cut down on the carbs like gluten-free bread and pasta, thoug...

Update from Mags

Hello All: I hope everyone is well! It has been a while since I've been around much, so I thought I'd give an update on what is going on with me. I appear to be in full remission. Norman visits every day. Most muscle aches and pains are gone, except those earned righteously in "combat". Th...

You can also get it from any winemaking supplier. It is used to "fine" wine by stirring it in. Particulates in the wine then bind with the bentonite and settle to the bottom.

Laura--

I would not be surprised if this were a common problem. My cycles usually cause D and a lot of pain and problems, so much so that my doc is planning a hysterectomy for me at 40. I am interested to see what the responses to your question will be.

Joe-- I'll second what Tex said. I know you must be restless, but give yourself time to really heal. I pushed myself back to work after major wisdom teeth surgery and ended up worse off than I was right after the surgery itself! It is so true, though, that you find out who your real friends are when...

Just a word of caution from someone with MH issues: all antidepressants are not SSRI's. Only SSRI's, as Tex correctly said, are linked to MC. Wellbutrin, trycyclic antidepressants, and other, newer drugs should be considered. I just felt a little "nervous" that this thread seemed to have b...

Zizzle-- I started allergy shots at four years old and had them for seven more years. I really can't say that I derived any benefit from them, as I still struggle every year with severe allergies. Of course, I also live in Georgia, where the pollen count gets freakin' astronomical.... I do eat local...

Joe--

I love your kick-ass attitude. It is inspiring to me when I get frustrated and down about MC and other things. I'm sure you will be just fine..

Hopefully, they will give you some good drugs!!

Arlene-- I'll second that. I keep a spiral bound notebook with me everywhere I go because I write everything down in it. I got into the habit when working as a wine sales rep, and now I just do it as force of habit. It is a five-subject college-ruled notebook, so I can keep one section as a food-poo...

Marliss-- My Mom, who is 60, has recently gone lactose and gluten-free. Years ago, she was diagnosed with IBS, and as she has watched me battle with MC, we have become suspicious that she might have it. We have always eaten a very healthy diet, based on whole foods, organic if possible, so this has ...

Tex--

If they are ruthless enough to try to shut down the company that is making the cheap HIV/AIDS drugs that are saving so many lives all over the world, which they are, they are ruthless enough to do anything. Luckily, they lost that case.
