Discouraged

My doctor called with the biopsy results, I was informed that I do not have MC. I asked about looking at my mast cells. He told me that that is getting into the very rare conditions. He will consult with the gastro. doctor and get back to me. I then attempted to eat like a 'normal' person. The cramp...

Thank you for your responces. My husband agrees with you also. I feel better now, no crippling pain anymore. I will call tomorrow and tell him how I have been feeling for the past week. I spit up some blood the afternoon of the colonoscopy. I want to make sure there is a record of everything. In ret...

More confusing discomfort

I attempted to do an easy run on my tread machine (TM) this morning. Before getting on I had disabling pain on my left side. After it was over I got on the TM and started with a light jog. I felt discomfort in my middle chest area, lower back area and lower right ab area. My husband told me to stop....

Looking Back

Since last Tuesday when the doctor told my husband and I that he believes I have MC I have done a lot of thinking. In going over my life I am wondering if I was destined for MC from the beginning. When I was a newborn I was not able to keep formula down. Whenever my mother fed me I would throw up ev...

I don't have thyroid problems. However, they do run in my mom's mother's family. A number of my grandmother's sisters had thyroid problems. My grandmother had diverticulosis.

I have a heart murmur. It was discovered when I was 7. My grandmother had congestive heart failure. My uncle died from a heart attack. My father had a heart attack. He suffered from mini-strokes and is on medications for it. My dad's grandparents all died from heart related problems. My father's dad...

No lettuce during flare-ups makes sense. We have a big bunch of baby spinach in the frig. I don't think I'll be eating any for the time being. We have no-fat cottage cheese in the fridge also. I am a little hesitant about eating that also. Again, thanks for all your help and patience. peggyanns1955

Thanks for all this information. Right now I feel as though breathing air gives me a flare-up. I felt ok after dinner. Then some nausea, then cramping then D. Now, I feel very itchy on my right arm and shoulder. Another day and more learned and discovering so much more I still have to learn. peggyan...

Thank you for the information. It is very interesting and enlightening. My husband and daughter did not understand how I could be reacting so quickly.

Question about reaction time

Which foods seem to have the fastest reaction time as far as cramping and D are concerned? I find that I start feeling ill even before my meal is completed. I am not sure if it is from a prior meal or from the one I am eating at the time. Any ideas?

Thanks;

Thank you. I am thinking that fat is giving me some trouble. I had custard for dessert tonight. I am curious to see if I have a reaction later on. However, I got nasty cramps and D while eating a rice cake and organic blackberry fruit spread this afternoon. Perhaps pectin is the bad guy. This is my ...

I checked out the sausages. They are free-range organic meat and organic herbs. However I started to feel and hear colon rumblings and then the cramps and then I visited the restroom. We where to go to Mass afterwards. My husband and I decided that I had better get home. So, no Mass this week. Would...

No need for apologies as far as I am concerned. I well understand the pull from different directions people have. I am taking care of my 92 year old father who is bed-ridden and dying. It does indeed take a lot of time and energy. So, don't worry, I am learning that worry hurts us in very painful wa...
