I took Tex's advice and was tested for IgA and IgG deficiency. The test results came back normal. So could I be a very rare MC patient and not be gluten and casein intolerant? (I posted my EteroLab relults earlier in this thread.) I asked them to mail me the results but it looks like I'm not deficie...

Thank you Tex!! Had my blood drawn for testing IgA and IgG deficiency. Thanks for that suggestion as well. Not sure what I can do for the deficiency but it's important to know in case I ever need a blood transfusion. Deb, what brand do you use and where do you buy it? Interesting that it works for a...

Boswellia
Has anyone ever tried Biswellia ( rhodiola rosea) for LC? Was just reading up on it and there have been good results for various types of colitis. It's plant based and comes in pill form.
Thanks!

Thanks Cathy. Didn't realize that bakers and brewers yeasts were so closely related. I'm going to start by eliminating gluten and see how I do. If things aren't resolved then I'll eliminate dairy, yeast, prozac....right on down the line. Thanks Leah and Tex for all the valuable info. Again, I'm very...

Hi Leah, Sounds like we're in the minority! Just to make sure I understand this, is it true that if you're deficient in IgA that any test results will be inaccurate? That your body needs to produce the right levels of the antibody in order for reliable testing? Tex also mentioned this. I called my d...

Thank you Cathy! I feel I can move on now with sound advice from all of you! So grateful I found this website. I will buy your book Tex. Another question...did you change your diet overnight by immediately eliminating G,D, and S? Or did you start with just one? Not sure where or how to start so have...

Thank you so much Tex and Gloria for your replies. I can't believe that my test results are so unique! I will definitely get the testing you've recommended Tex. I also see where you've written a book about MC. What is the title? I'd like to order it. Gloria, thanks for sharing your Entocort experien...

Questions about Entecort
Hi Everyone, After being diagnosed in Feb 2010 with LC I am now experiencing my third relapse. After my initial dx I was put on entecort and immediately returned to a normal life. The "normalcy" continued for four months without entecort and without changing my diet. (As many of you have m...

Thanks again Gloria. I appreciate your replys. I've been doing well on the Entrocort and, as I mentioned, I tested negative for celiac. I sent for the gluten test kit from Enterolab but in the meantime have eaten small amounts of gluten sort of as a means of conducting my own test. I have not had an...

Just received the news today that I do not have Celiac disease. However, I'm taking advice from this forum and sent for a kit from Enterolab. In the meantime I have a question about Endocort. Until I get the test results back, if I were to eat gluten, would Endocort prevent symptoms? Just wondering ...
