Well I'm back. I went to the ER and even after 3 1000 mL bags of fluid was still dehydrated. They admitted me to the hospital and I was there for 7 days. They were trying to get my symptoms under control but I was still so sick and weak I could barely do anything. So basically, they are now calling ...

The doctor said that they saw some "small ulcers" on the left side. When they biopsied it ( I got the results back yesterday) I asked my doctor the same thing. She said that they noticed lymphocytes in the pathology report...so the diagnosis is LC as opposed to Ulcerative Colitis. Which is...

Update: So I started the diet this morning. But I have other news... Had a visit with my GI this morning and she was totally supportive and understood completely about the food sensitivity/tolerance issues. She even said that when her patients don't have luck with anything else that she recommends t...

Thanks so much, Sara. Yeah...I know the tests would make the process quicker but sadly I just don't have the cash right now and my D has been so bad I've lost a lot of weight and have a VERY hard time staying hydrated. (D probably 15-20 times a day) I'm drinking over 80 oz of water and have still be...

Elimination Diet Here I Come!!

So I posted under the Discussions for treatment options if you want to hear my whole history (Tex responded; thanks Tex!!!) Long story short...I've been on just about every medication for my CC and nothing has worked (including Endocort and Lialda) so I'm going to start the elimination diet tomorrow...

Tex, Thanks again! I see my GI tomorrow...I saw some earlier discussions about SNRIs. Currently I take Cymbalta for depression/anxiety and I've tried about 8 different antidepressants, so I'm REALLY reluctant to switch. I'm not on any SSRIs, but I had taken them in the past (years ago). Is the verdi...

Thanks so much Tex! Yeah, I had never heard about the food sensitivity thing until I happened to be poking around on the internet over the weekend and found a couple of sites including this one. Currently I am on the Lialda (2.4 g/day) and will be following up with my GI next week. Aside from the te...

Another Newbie - Question About Medications...NOTHING WORKS!

Okay...so I was diagnosed with CC about 5 years ago. I was taking a daily dose of Indomethacin for cluster headaches. All of a sudden I was having horrible gut problems! Saw a GI who did an endoscopy and colonoscopy and came back with the diagnosis of CC. Doc said to stop the Indomethacin (as it is ...
