DR Appt. today and a referrel....

Post by annie oakley »

I went to see my reg Md today and he gave me some good cream for my skin flare ups, some antibiotics..seems the sinus infection has returned, or never left) and then he referred me to a very good ruemotologist on the 8th of this month (got me in quick) He said he couldn't do much more than give pain meds at this point and I needed a specialist. It appears the arthritis has progressed a bit as he doesn't believe the tightness in my hands is not from needing water pills but rather from the arthritis taking over my hands and irritating the joints. He did give me some Ultracet for pain until I see the specialist. He said he didn't want me on the Codien with my coiltis because of possible constipation. So I hope it all goes well. The specialist is also My SIL doctor and she loves him. Love Oma

Oma,

I hope you find some relief soon. It is very hard to do things with hands that are constantly hurting.

It's a PLUS that your SIL loves this doctor - hopefully you will too!

Sure hope you like the new doc as much as your SIL does, Oma, and I surely hope he/she can help you overcome this problem.

Hi Oma,

When you say "tightness in your hands", are you referring to joint tightness, or skin tightness?

Morning Oma,

I do hope you get some relief for this. As a small child I can remember my grandmother being almost totally crippled with arthritis in her joints - especially hands and ankles.

Also hope you like the doc as much as your SIL.

Love, Maggie

I was afraid you might be developing symptoms of scleroderma. I'm glad to see that you're not.
