Gluten Free Crumpets Found in London!!

Post by EastWestGirl »

I just got back from a trip to London and found that two stores often carry gluten free crumpets! I used to adore regular crumpets and never thought I'd find gluten free ones...but I did! :-))

Tesco stores carry them (though not the small stores - have to go to a larger one).
Package of 4 crumpets for 2£

Brand: Tesco Free From Crumpets

Saintsbury Local

Brand: LivWell (gluten/wheat/milk free)
Package of 4 for about 2£

I am in heaven!!!!

They need more toasting than regular crumpets to get a good crunch....but damned good substitute! :)

That would be "Old York," I believe... (sorry, that's properly called The Real Original York)... but NYC is crazy with GF bakeries these days!

Oh drats. Premature excitement! :)

Here's a list of the places you can find the LivWell crumpets and other GF items:

Two online sources are listed that deliver abroad.

For those of you in the UK and Ireland, you can get a free "welcome pack" of their products:
