Finally Back Home
Morning Everyone,
Well we finally made it back from Merry Ole England and I cannot tell you all how wonderful it was to the everyone. It was so unbelievable the way everyone went of their way to make our stay so pleasant and memorable.
NorthWest England is beautiful beyond belief. The stone walls, cattle, sheep, Moracombe Bay, the Irish sea, the pubs, the people and just their pace of living. However Jay's in-laws lead a hectic paced life but we did our best to keep up with everyone.
Little time to our self but did see more than 75 new birds to add to my life list and a number of others. Driving was exceptional by Frank and he adapted quite quickly and was a pro by the time we left there.
I am so happy to be back home where there is just quiet and no children. The number of children was amazing - grandpop has 32 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. We went to a christening for Uncle David's 9th child and there were 59 children in the church.
I will give it my best to catch up on everything but it will probably take me days.
Love you all and it is nice to be back in this home too.
Love, Maggie

I'm so glad you had a great trip. And glad you found time in that hectic pace to find 75 new birds! Geoff and I saw 3 somethings in a field on the way home last night. OUr first response was Turkey, but they were too slender and had longer necks. We think maybe great blue herons but there was no pond there...just a stream. It was dusk/overcast, so hard to see other features.
I just returned from Hawaii and was suprised at how few different birds I saw. Mostly pidgeons (although prettier than northeast pigeons) and what looked like their version of a sparrow and some ducks. Nothing too remarkable.

Maggie - I'm really behind - must have missed your post!
Welcome back home! Your trip sounds great. Isn't it always the same - you're glad to go but more happy when you get home! Trips seem to make you tired instead of relaxing you!
Are you sending some pics to Sally to post? I would love to see them.
