Hazel,

Hope your recovery goes well. If you had a knee replacement, it does get better. I had one replaced a year ago. The other one was replaced in December.

Take care,

Yes, it is a knee replacement. It is a rotating platform knee which my doctor thinks makes less wear and tear and a more natural motion. I can't do too much with it right now however--it's pretty swollen and feels like it weighs a hundred pounds!! OMA, the pain isn't bad at all unless you move it, which is of course what they want you to do so you get your range of motion back. My dr. uses a computer to line up your leg so I'm hoping for a good result. BRENDA, you have both new knees? Good for you! I hope I will be okay with just this one.

Hazel,

After the first one was done, my doctor said the other one was just as bad. I only thought my first one was swollen. The second one was much worse. The good thing was that the swelling went down a lot after the stitches and staples came out. They probably told you to keep it elevated and use ice. I hate using ice when I hurt!

I'm back to riding my bicycle - I rode it 80 miles in two rides in June a week apart.

Take care and let us hear from you,
TexasBrenda

Hi Hazel,

So happy that everything went so well and it is just unbelievable what they can do to get us going again. Take care and just take one day at a time and don't try to do too much.

Love, Maggie
