Got my University results today!

Post by natythingycolbery »

I know a lot of you where following me with my doing a years worth of uni work in the space of three months, so i felt you might all like to know what my results are for my uni work (got them about half an hour ago) so here they are;

American 1: 61% (2:1),
American 2: 61%,(2:1)
Modernism: 54%, (2:2)
Theory: 52%, (2:2)
Restoration: 54%, (2:2)
Colonial: 64% (2:1)
Postcolonial: 65% (2:1)
Renaissance: (Mark pending)

These are all good marks, I was not expecting them at all! I'm still working on the Renaissance essay as that is the one that I didnt complete in time for my final deadline. I'm just amazed at these marks, I was expecting them all to be between 50-58% if i was lucky!

Just wanted to thank you all for supporting me through those stressful few months!

Katy,

Congratulations! :thumbsup:

That was quite an accomplishment.

Thanks for the update,

Thanks All

:grin:

My summer plans at the moment are as follows;

1- Be tortured by working in a bakery
2- Do the final essay i need to do
3- Sleep

One of my best friends is coming down to York from Scotland in the next few weeks so we are going to spend the day together. Looking foward to that now!

Congratulations, Katy. All that hard work you did in such a short time paid off!

Have a great summer, even if you are tortured by working in a bakery. No chance that it's a gluten-free bakery, I suppose?

I regret to inform that it is not a gluten free bakery!

So, my claim to be allowed to sit the essay i am currently writing as a first sit basis has been rejected due to a lack of evidence. This means no matter how good my essay is I will be stuck at 40% and can get no higher.

I'm slightly dissapointed at this.

I'm currently waiting for an email response from someone explaining where they think the lack of evidence is (I think i know where the issue is), so I'm going to the doctors to see if they will give me any evidence of stress due to parents (Although i didnt go to the drs when this was happening but shhh). If the doctors can't do this, I am going to appeal the boards decision and say it was a semester A essay that was affected not semester B and that i managed to achieve do a lot between feb and june.

Worst comes to worst, i get 40% for the essay and my average from second year is lowered from 57% to 55%, which means to get my 2:1 I really have to work in my final year
