TooManyHats,

I have had a lot of success with probiotics.

Raw unpastuerized sauerkraut is the best, even though it is exremely high in fiber. It is hard to find, but easy to make. Kefir is also good, yogurt not bad. There are a host of probiotic foods that I eat with every meal (or take a strong probiotic pill when I am out). That all said, I only go to the bathroom once a day, but I think I still have the inflamation and other symptoms -- the diarhea is just controlled due to loading up on good bacteria.

See my post on probiotics and wine.
