It's Sunday morning......
Hello family!
I am glued to the TV and just out of bed! (LAZY-BONES ME!) So many things are happening and I know I feel so helpless. There are some good stories coming from Texas now! We all needed some good news!
Thanks Luce for the update and the uplifting information. In the months to come, I'm sure there will be ways we will all be able to contribute to the future of these people. Texas has been AWESOME!!!!
I have some work I need to do around home today and I think Larry is going to have to help more than he thinks! Haahahaha. My sister is moving and since I am unable to physically help her move, I volunteered to make some sloppy joes for her movers to eat. I will have them over for a BBQ tomorow also - cooking is the last thing you feel like doing while moving.
Still not 100% - prolly not 75% but am better. I'm wondering if I caught a bug. My biggest complaint was the nausea - no other symptoms. Been sleeping when I can and keeping myself hydrated.
I hope all have a wonderful Holiday weekend! I am counting my blessings and thankful for my family and friends and my extended family here!

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
Hi Mars,
I'm glad you're feeling better, and I hope you'll be 100% by tomorrow. You're pretty dedicated to be doing as much as you are, considering the way you feel.
Hugs,
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Thanks Wayne and Shirley!
Unfortunately, the more I do, the worse I feel. Nausea is back full-force again.
Shirley, I do what I can for people and I know that my sister would do the same for me. As a matter of fact, the other night she took time out to go get me some soup and crackers. Bless her heart.
I'll check in later. It seems that we are all glued to the TV and not posting as usual. I hope all is well with our family here.
BTW - can't remember if I updated you - my boss's family is fine. Major wind damage but they are well - they live in Angie, Louisianna.
Our janitor heard from his sister who is on dialisys and her daughter. They were airlifted out and to a hospital where they are fine. One niece and her family have not been heard from yet. We are praying that all is well. They all live in downtown Now Orleans.

Hi Mars,
That nausea is a real bummer, and I wish we could find what's causing it. I don't believe this applies to you, because you haven't mentioned drinking any, but just in case it does, I thought I'd mention it. Did you know that milk is a primary cause of nausea? Also, you seem to be eating more fruit than in the past. I wonder if the fructose could be causing you problems. Note these statistics on nausea due to food intolerances:

Hugs,

Hi Mars...I am sorry you feel so bad. When My stomache is sick sometimes I eat mashed potaoes (with no butter or gravey) and drink green tea. Gatoraide is also good, but the tea will settle your stomache some. Hope you feel better soon. And you're a sweetie for helping your sister. Love Oma
May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance
Mars,
I'm beginning to wonder if gastroparesis might be part of the problem. Consider this information:
http://www.gicare.com/pated/ecdgs45.htm
http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddisease ... roparesis/
I believe you've been taking hyoscyamine, (Levsin), recently. If so, it could have weakened your stomach, and predisposed you to the effects of gastroparesis.

Hey Wayne,
Many of the symptoms described in those articles describe me. I am taking Levsin and have been for quite some time.
I will probably receive the blood work next week (this week actually). We shall see then. Also - the glucose level has been sporatice and this is one of the major causes according to one of articles.
