Help with Automatic Log On
Morning Tex,
Since I returned from vacation my computer here at work is not holding an automatic log on when I access the board. Everything works OK at home and prior to vacation, I had both home and work computers doing the log on automatically. Am I doing something wrong? I have checked the box on the log on screen.
Thanks, Maggie

Hi Maggie,
I have the same problem, but I just assumed that it's a browser quirk, (I use Mozilla). I've made some modifications that may have afffected it, such as enabling logging on from anywhere on the site, without being redirected back to the index page, and setting up the chatroom so that any member who is logged in to the site, will be automatically logged in to the chatroom, if they click on the "Chat" link. These changes may have affected the way certain browsers handle the cookies that control these actions.
Also, I changed the "cookie path", a few weeks ago, (which should have enhanced the ability of most browsers to use the auto log-in feature), but the the cookie cache may need to be manually cleared on some browsers, for that change to take effect. Try clearing the cookies from your browser. That will often solve problems such as this.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Well, did it it ever work correctly, for automatic log-in? If so, about when did it stop working?
Was it a few weeks ago, when I changed the cookie path?
Curious,
Wayne
