That's too bad, Katy. I hope you can get it resolved. It's pretty hard to put in a lot of effort when you know that your grade will be limited to 40%, plus it will affect your overall grade average.

Good luck with this Katy. By the time you get this resolved, you'll have many of the investigative and negotiating skills of a good attorney.

That's the spirit! Always take that attitude and you will be fine!

Concentrate on good analysis and the rest will follow. I usually tell students they don't have writer's block, they have analysis block. Figure out what you need to say and the writing becomes less stressful - still hard work, but more natural.

Happy thinking!

Ah, the joys of dealing with red tape - always a stress-free passtime. Not!

Dear Katy,

Just catching up on these posts. Well done on your scores!! and hope the red tape ends up tying the bureaucrats in knots. IMHO you have already passed "summa cum laude" in the University of Life.

Ooops I forgot to update this for a while so here goes;

My doctors note arrived at the end of July so it got emailed to the uni, but who it was sent to has been away so have no idea if it is sufficient enough.

However, I did finish the essay last week and it was posted into the university to arrive for today (Aug 8th)

Just gotta wait to hear if the information I have sent is enough, which it should be, as I have actually looked at all the information I originally sent in and one of the documents i sent in covers the date Jan 14th (the original deadline date) and they said it didn't... but last time i checked that date was definatley between Jan 4th and feb 4th right?

LOL, Katy - good for you... and yes, no matter how bad the gluten fog may get, that date IS between those two other dates!

Congratulations, and I do hope you can rouse the bureaucracy from its (gluten-related??) stupor to understand that you have indeed gotten done what you got done!

All my best, and hope you're rested up and ready for the year to come,

xox/Sara

p.s. - how is that bakery treating you? People keep asking me whether I've been to the great new bakery (or pizza place, or... whatever) - but I find I'm literally blind to them now, kind of like color-blindness. Except for gluten

Got another email from uni, they meant they didn't have any evidence covering from the end of jan to the end of the academic year, my new letter covers that, so any day after the 24th of this month i should hear what the panel say.

Bakery... it is a love hate relationship, I can actually eat nothing from there if i go gluten free soon so i am kinda of abusing gluten atm.... I'm an odd person :D

Don't be so quick to pronounce yourself odd - most people tend to pig out before cutting something out of their diet, which means that anyone who doesn't do that is odd.

I'm glad you're updating us! I'm so far behind on this board. If Tex graded us I would get an F for being absent! And Tex is right - totally normal to pig out on something you plan to give up
