My baby started school today!!

Post by CAMary »

I can't believe it! Elyse's first day of preschool... She was so excited to be going to school just like her big brothers  It will be just 2 mornings a week - but it will give me time to volunteer in the boys' classes, plus a little *me time*

There were a couple of criers, as it is a "young 3s" class - she won't be 3 until Thanksgiving, and is the youngest one, but she confidently waved and said "bye Mom" as I left...she was busily exploring the room and VERY excited about the 2 class guinea pigs

I got a bit teary-eyed walking to the car - but driving home I felt very liberated...I'm off to run a few quick errands....ALONE

Love,

Mary

Hi Mary,

It must have been so hard for you to say goodbye but I hope you put on a big smile and just puffed up knowing your little one was not one of the cryers.

Celebrate the time you have to yourself.

Love, Maggie

Congrats on Free Time, MOM! I'm so happy to be getting back into a school routine with the kids. Guess that suits my engineers personality. Glad to hear she was ready to do it with no fuss. We were a bit worried about Erin starting kindergarten, but she went off on the bus with her sister, and after her first full day on Tuesday, Geoff couldn't get anything more than "Cool" out of her about how her first day was! She was so ready to be in school like her big sis.

Enjoy your mornings.

Mary,

Your description of Elyse's actions really made me smile. She sounds like a confident, well-adjusted *almost 3* little person. I'll bet she made you proud of her.

I love that saying.

Gosh Mary, she is old enough to go to pre-school?! I remember looking at the photos when she was just hours old. She is such a character and no doubt will have all kinds of new experiences to bring home. I can hardly wait to hear about them!

Enjoy your "me" time!

Hugs,
