Rhuemy Doctor Report...I am devastated!

Post by annie oakley »

I am so upset right now  I know there are people out there with more serious problems than me.....But Rhuemy doc did bone density and xrays of knee's. Bone density is ok.....He said I need a double knee replacement as soon as we can do it. It's bone on bone and He said I can't wait too long...I am not afraid of the surgery, what I am worried about is how are we going to pay bills with one of our incomes at a halt for 6-8 weeks? And My insurance is a temp insurance until april when The full time one kicks in. I cried all the way home from the docs...and am now. I know that there are people with worse things going on and I am being very self centered here, and I am usually upbeat about things.....I just feel totally at a loss of what to do and very depressed about it all. Big hugs and kisses Oma!

I'm so sorry you received bad news at the doctor. It is even more devastating when the bad news entails money (or lack of, in this case) and everything that goes with it.

You have every right to be so depressed and down getting news like this. Don't fee quilty about the way you feel. This is just one phase of *accepting* the news you JUST received.

Knowing what is wrong will start you on a journey to deal with the problem. Take one step at a time and I'll keep everything crossed that things work out for you.

BTW - we are here for you to cry on our shoulders. Do it ANY time!

Love and hugs to you,

Margie

Oma,

So sorry to hear your news. If I was you, I'd check your insurances. The one you will be getting in April may not cover a "pre-existing condition", so you may have to use your current insurance.

Good luck, Love, Jean

I am sorry to hear the news about your aching knees--
And try to wipe away the  and think how much better U will feel--
Scarey as it sounds--U gotta do what is necessary--

Not to feel any guilt about thinking of U----yes there are many others worse but right now it is U--and this is who U think about NOW--
I have done/said the same thing---very normal feeling--

Just sit back and relax and let your *mind* unburden itself--

Oma, I am so sorry! Bone on bone, yikes you must be in such pain. Bless your heart.

I am so sad for you....to have to worry about finances if you can't work. Your health is so important. Take care of yourself and do what you have to do. Things have a way of working out. I will be praying for you!

Hugs

Morning Oma,

So very sorry to hear what the doc had to say and I am sure you are in extreme pain. Insurance is such an issue in this country for people who need to have procedures done and the companies or coverage are just not there when needed. I do hope something works out to make this possible and if not, just go ahead and do it anyway if the hospital will do it without insurance. There has to be a solution but I honestly don't know what it is. You need immediate attention and it has to be there for you.

You are in my prayers and it seems that the Man above always, in the end, provides a solution. Sometimes hard to figure why it takes so long but it usually comes.

Love, Maggie
