Yesterday and the Weather
Morning all.
Well, for you southerners/Texans, it took 55 in the bedroom this morning to force me into sweat pants and a sweatshirt. Yesterday morning it was about 60 and I still pulled out the shorts and t-shirt when I got dressed.
Yesterday, we went out for breakfast with an old client of mine from Boston (actually several folks from that client/project). They are up in Vermont for a motorcycle rally, and came down to see me, which was really neat. Afterwards, we headed out for some letterboxing and miniture golfing. I won too! We found a new favorite place to play. The place has 2 courses intertwined with eachother (actually, One loops through the center and one loops around the outside). But its one of these ones contoured to be like a real golf course. Many water traps. Anyway, very fun.
Today is, what Geoff calls a loaf around the house day, but unfortunately I have gardening (which I enjoy) and reading for a course I'm taking for work to do. Oh yeah, and I have to do laundry (I just heard Geoff tell the kids to collect some things for when I do laundry).
Have a good one guys.

I don't know how cold it was but Bill turned on the heat this morning. He gets up early. Of course, when I got up I turned it off.
I think it may have been in the low 50's or even 40's but it's supposed to be up to 72 today. Perfect weather - LOL.

Well, I don't blame you for ditching the shorts. Low temps have been flirting with the upper 60s around here lately, and it's already making me anxious about how close winter is getting. I never seem to fullly appreciate summer until it's gone. I was just getting used to it. Sigh.
Gee, I hope that while you're doing those chores, you don't spoil Geoff's "Loaf around the house" day. LOL.
Enjoy the moments between chores,
Wayne

No "loafing" here....Mike has the kids at baseball tryouts for fall league ball - just Andy is playing...and I am shortly leaving for the day with my best friend...
We are headed into the City (as we call San Francisco in these parts) to see the Giants vs. the Cubs We usually go in June around her birthday (my dad has season tickets and gives me a pair every summer) but it didn't work out schedule-wise so we are going now.....just bummed it isn't a pennant race this year
Ah well - a day out with a good friend shall be good for my soul Kids will watch for me on TV
Happy loafing everyone!!
Love,
Mary

Getting into the 60's down here almost on the coast as well, and somehow, even in the heat of the day, it just isn't an unpleasant hot right now.
It has to be freezing before I'll wear a wrap. Call me stubborn, but that's just me.
By the way, Katy, my aunt just told me that my two Indiana cousins who've lived in Vermont a long time had just called her. I'm sure they were concerned about her having to endure a hurricane that far inland.
Yours, Luce

Shirley,
Are you referring to Ophelia? Looks like at least one of the Carolinas will get grazed along the coast, but I'm hoping maybe the winds will die down and the thing will decide to move on back to sea. Actually, think the best case scenario that seems likely right now is for it to sort of bounce off of the Wilmington area, and then not return to the coast. If it does, that would likely bring it into Cape Cod or thereabouts.
Wow, and just think, it's less than a week past the high point of the hurricane season!
Yours, Luce
