Denise,
Good luck with the wedding on Saturday!

Since you're celiac (as I recall), I would definitely stay away from gluten. I've had fairly immediate problems after having butter, so I would avoid it that day. Polly's idea sounds good to me; enjoy it the next day when you are out of the limelight and can quickly access a bathroom without worry.

The wedding was a huge success! I only ate the things I knew were safe and didn't feel like I missed a thing. The band was great, so I was on the dance floor all night. I'm a little stiff from all the dancing, but it wa so much fun!

I took a picture of her bridal pictures....not sure if this is going to work, but I'll try to post them.

Thanks for all of your great advice!

Denise

A beautiful bride, Denise. I'm glad it went well and you enjoyed yourself and didn't feel deprived. I'm also finding that the socializing is the important part; the food is becoming less so. Deb

Here's wishing your daughter a long, happy and healthy future,

Aww, what a beautiful and radiant bride! I'm proud of you that you were able to refrain from eating no-nos. I'm also impressed that you danced the night away. It sounds like you had a great time.

Morning Denise,

So happy that you stuck with your diet and did not spoil the wedding for yourself. Dancing is something I love to do and every chance I get - glad you enjoyed it so. The bride is absolutely gorgeous and congratulations and a long and happy life to her and hubby.

Thanks, everyone! I think she is the most beautiful bride ever, but I think I might be a little biased. I took them to the airport on Monday for their honeymoon. She had tears in her eyes and told me that the wedding was the best day of her life and that she and her new husband had the most fun ever at the reception. It melted my heart.

Hugs,
Denise
