Welcome, Mary!! As Tex said, when symptoms are flaring, most of us deal with the lack of poop sensation to one level or another. That's one reason why the motto of the forum is "happiness is a dry fart."
And don't feel alone--you are not the only who has dealt with diapers. Or accidents. Some of us carry changes of clothes and whatever else we need for an emergency.
There is one member--I haven't seen her post in quite some time because she is in remission--who moved her desk and computer to right outside the bathroom door. We all do what we need to do.
Welcome again!

Welcome Mary...
my MC diagnosis and the need to wear nappies was a 40th birthday present for me..... So i empathise with the frustration/disapointment one feels.
I used to do a bit of travelling for work and there were days I have to wear nappies for the flights. I have changed to a job that has minimal travel requirements which has helped alot.
Life with MC does get better, when you figure out what works for you, the need to wear nappies and having spare clothes at work or in the car does get less...
I have been doing some treatments for pelvic floor, then recently when i had to prep for scopes, i noticed my control was alot better.....

Most people here who use it, find that they need to take Entocort for at least 6 months to a year, (and in some cases longer), in order to give their intestines enough time to heal, so that the diet alone can prevent the symptoms from returning.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
I just toughed it out, because for me, the cramps would come in waves, so they weren't a constant problem for me, (though I have to admit, they were really, really rough, sometimes, when they were at their worst). If you happen to be taking Questran, (colestyramine), you might try discontinuing it, because it's notorious for causing such symptoms. That applies to any of the other bile acid sequestrants, as well.
Some doctors probably prescribe narcotic painkillers for that symptom, but if you go that route, be careful, because those drugs can lead to an impaction problem, if used often enough.
Maybe someone else will have some better suggestions.
