The good news is that I am alive and doing okay, considering. LOL Still running that low grade fever, but did not hear from my doctor so all must be okay.
Been having allot of down days and just crashing, and without my laptop I can't sit for long at this computer. But I am told when the laptop comes back to me it will be better then ever. It was a used one to begin with, with just a problem with the hinges with one side being broke off. My brother bought new hinges for me, and the tape that who ever owned it before had on it revealed no cracks or anything. As far as we could see, that is. One morning I woke up and whatever that tapes was holding together, let go and the whole top came off. So now we are waiting for a new top, and his friend who is the expert, (because there are wires and things that have to be attached and so forth), will put it together. The part has to come from somewhere in the States, so that is what we are waiting for. Specialized parts seem to take allot longer then other things. But I can hardly wait till that day comes. As I am already tired sitting here just this long. No pun intended, but what a PAIN!
I have been keeping up with the news and am just dumbstruck by how much people have gone through over the last little while with so much loss of life and homes, my heart goes out to all who have been in anyway touched by this terrible aftermath of Katrina.
I tried to find anyone who has had a birthday and leave my birthday wishes, but for those I have missed please except my Birthday Wishes now.
My firstborn's birthday is coming up on the third on October, she will be 26. We are meeting downtown tomorrow and she is taking me to get my hair cut and whatever done to it. A girls day out so to speak. We are trying to do that at least once a month when she has a day off.
My baby, (almost 23) is back in College for another two years. This time it is fashion design. She is also back working for the student athletic association, and working at the gym to suplement her Student loan. The thing is that someone decided it would be a really cool thing to have a fund raiser for the SAA, and make it a fashion show. Someone who has never put one on I would imagine??? LOL Mainly I say that because they made it for the end of Sept. and it is going to be all new designs. Cool. The only thing is that my baby is the only one designing and sewing, and they need 15 outfits made by then. So I will be going there to sleep over a few nights so we can get them done on time. The only problem is that Mel is the only one who has actually did this sort of thing many times over, either in the background or as a model, so she knows its not just showing up and getting girls to walk out on stage. So it should be a blast. LOL Mel can just sew inbetween classes and work or after she gets home at around midnight. Right???? I feel sorry for her, it just seems she caught up some sleep after working so much over summer and now its back to steeling time from your sleep to get all that needs to be done, done in a day. Good thing is she is healthy.
The freaky thing is that my oldest daughter had her tea leaves read for fun and the woman told her that someone close to her with the initial M is pushing herself too much and she is going to get very sick if she doesn't slow down.......
Me, same old, same old. I keep doing what I need to do. Taking care of my baby Pebbles, and she keeps giving me back oodles of love.
Miss you all, and little by little I will try and catch up.
Wendy
