not sure if this posted or not, but i had been told or read that fiber was not good for people with mc.....but then i just read that soluable fiber can be beneficial.....thoughts? could soluable fiber supplements give a person d?

When your system is irritated by active MC, then yes, supplementing with soluble fiber can make things worse.

Whoever promotes adding fiber to an irritated GI system is a good idea - they should spend a few weeks with active MC symptoms, and then we'll see how they feel about that recommendation!

Hi Willabec, fiber really should be avoided especially when things are flared up. For me something as simple as a salad is still to hard on the system and results in D.

I believe Tex once stated how sensitive the tissues of the GI system really are and the thought of eating something that could be somewhat abrasive in nature doesnt sound like a good idea.
