I checked my phone book and all I could find was *disease of the eyes* in the Opthomologist listings---
And I already see an OPTO.

Sorry I missed you this morning. Had to get going to my meetings. As far as I know, he is just called an 'Eye Specialist' or Ophthalmic Surgeon. This is probably what the bloke you saw was. If you are not happy ask to see another doctor for a second opinion. I am thinking of doing that because they are very uncomfortable even using the drops that my GP prescribed.
