Still in square one...

Post by Lesley »

When I woke up I was bloated, had cramps and pressure and gurgling, but, although I sat on the potty and read the whole paper from yesterday, but still no joy.

I took a teaspoon of Lactulose (prescribed by doc as very gentle softener) this morning, gurgling and pressure ongoing, went to the pool, shopping and forgot half the stuff I wanted(brain fog and exhaustion), came home, watched TV, rested, made something to eat, and so forth, and finally managed to go.
A bit firmer, but STILL MUCOUS! Still no Norman!
Chicken, potatoes and rice and nothing else all the last few days. No chewing gum. Some sugar in the form of hard candy (fruit mentos - yes, I suck them) and agave syrup in tea.
Heavy duty GERD all night and today!

This evening I had some white fish with potatoes, because I had no chicken out, and forgot to buy sticky rice.

This is no fun, you guys.

Fruit Mentos have wheat glucose syrup in them. I know--I love fruit Mentos, and I'm bummed. too. The last time I tried them, I had the sugarfree cool mint and I seemed to do okay with them.

Oh SHOOT! I thought I had looked up every ingredient in them. I didn't find that. Oh well!

Right now I have SUCH bad GERD I don't know what to do. My mouth is so dry I can't pries my tongue off my palate, and I have to wipe away the - don't know what to call it - the stuff sticking everything together - with a tissue. I have taken doses of potassium with vit D, lemon juice (I know, acid, but Gabes recommended it) in water. I didn't sleep much last night because of it.

I wish I knew what I could do about it. Right now I feel like tearing my digestive tract OUT!
