Thanks to everyone's input. Well, you might have burst my bubble since I was considering using my hubby, but I can assure you he is not GF/DF/SF! My daughter would be closer to me but she fights candida all the time. This may not be so promising. However, I am going to continue to do some research, because I feel I have nothing to lose. I might just have to take a chance. I will post what I find out and if I try it.
Gloria, I can only take 2 Entocort; the third one makes me ill. I see my alternative doc on Thursday to discuss my food allergy tests. I will go from there. I did try adding back quinoa last week, but I was having such a bad week and what usually happens when I give something up, I am not able to put it back into my diet.

Ginny, there was an article on msnbc today about fecal transplants. Did you see it? click here
Ginny,
If your DH is not sensitive to those foods, (IOW, if he is not producing any antibodies), all he has to do is eat your diet for 2 days, and you would be home free. Even if he doesn't change his diet for the sample, the effect on you would be like a one shot exposure to gluten, (and all the other food-sensitivities). It might or might not be a significant factor in how long you can successfully retain the "inoculation". That's certainly not a deal-killer, though, IMO.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Tex, after I had posted and gave the idea more thought, I came to the conclusion that the worse that could happen to me is I have a reaction to gluten (which will subside). My hubby is already willing to go on a GF/DF/SF/CF/EF for one month and then try it. What do I have to lose??
I am going to try to locate a doc in the Houston area that is pro this procedure and find out their methods and costs. I'm still leaning to do it myself; I'm getting very efficient at probiotic enemas. I am going to mention this transplant to the new GI and my alternative med doc just to see their reactions; it won't affect my decision at this point.
Karen, I did not see the program, but it seems more and more that "home remedies" are starting to come to the forefront - natural vs. meds!!
The holidays are coming and it was so depressing last year that I would like to change my "luck" I didn't mention that I loss my brother to suicide last year so this has not been a very good year!
I will keep you all posted and much love and thanks for all your concerns and suggestions. Ginny

Ginny,
Please keep us posted every step of the way. I really have hope for this procedure.
BTW, will you be getting your hubby's stool checked first for obvious infection? I'm sure his doc could order a simple stool test to check.
Hugs,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Polly, he just had a colonoscopy and everything was fine. Yes, my intention is to get a stool sample checked, but we are both on different insurances. I guess my thought still is, what do I have to lose? I know he is not sick and has a physical every year. I am probably being very naive in my approach, but am miserable enough to try almost anything.

Ginny,
Maybe your new GI doc will surprise you by agreeing to handle the procedure. Or, maybe she/he can recommend someone who is experienced with it.
Love,
Tex
