Tex..RE:Pictures
That is a beauiful toadstool. I am hoping after I get these silly knees fixed and I heal...That I can get out and take some neat photo's also. What is the name of that cactus again, the one with the purple flowers in your collection of photo's? Love Oma
May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance
Hi Oma,
Thanks, that was a nice toadstool. That sucker was about 6 inches in diameter, probably the biggest, and nicest one I've ever run across.
The redish, purplish, (is that a word?), flowers were on pin-cushion cactus. At least, that's what I call them--I'm not sure what the correct name is. They are small, and grow right on the ground, and are found in very shallow, rocky soils. The prickly pear blooms are yellow, and turn to orange as they mature.
Love,
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Thanks Oma and Shirley,
I've always been fascinated by how beautiful, ordinary plants and animals are, when photographed in the right light. That goes for rugged country, also.
I'm glad you liked them, and I appreciate your letting me know.
Love,
Wayne

Oh, Wayne, I liked that toadstool so much I made wallpaper out of it. And it's part of my screen saver. Anyone can do that with Webshots, you know.
For some reason I have always like looking at toadstols. When I was a little girl I used to draw pictures of them a lot. I didn't eat them, though.
Love,
Sally

I'm very gratified that you liked it that well. I have high-resolutiion image files of most of my photos, which I could e-mail, if you should need more detail, for an enlargement, or whatever.
The color of that one really caught my eye. It looked out of place, in such drab surroundings.
