why??

Post by willabec »

I may have posted this question before, but i don't have time to search. anyway, this morning (and it's only 7 a.m.) i went 1 time at 6 a.m. and it was normal!! :) however, i just went again and it was not as formed, not d, but not like it was earlier....why?? why can it be different forms each time? I have stopped all meds, the lialda was thinning my hair. so right now i am on nothing. i also wonder why this morning it was normal? i have also stayed away from dairy and have been gf for many years. i am still wondering if my issues are mc or still celiac that has not completely healed? i would suppose another endoscopy would tell me the answer to that question . but any light you can shed on the reason why my stool would be one way one time and another shortly thereafter, would be great! thanks!

I think you asked a similar question a while ago. Here are the responses:

Willabec,

The first BM of the day will always be the most formed, because the colon has had time to remove water from it most of the night. Any subsequent BMs will be progressively less formed, because the colon has had less time to extract water from them.

That thread that Gloria referred to was posted when you were in the recovery phase. IMO, you are going through the same thing now, except in reverse. IOW, your symptoms are beginning to relapse, now that you have discontinued the Lialda. Either you are still eating something that is causing you to react, or you have not been on the diet long enough for sufficient healing to take place. How long ago did you discontinue taking the Lialda?

i would say about 2 months or so that i have not been on the lialda. it helped some in the beginning but then things were almost back to the way they were initially. this a.m. was the first real norman i have had in a long time, so i was in a good mood until 10 when i went for the 3rd time!! i have a feeling it could also be the celiac disease as well. i am not ingesting gluten, but who the heck knows! just so frustrated!!

Oh! If it's been that long, disregard my previous post. If that's the first normal BM you've had, then you're improving, not relapsing - you might be accidentally getting traces of gluten in your diet, but you probably just need more time to heal.

Is it possible there's something other than gluten and dairy you're sensitive to?
