Please, tell us about the chat - were you able to pull it off. I missed it all despite the fact I was working on the computer at the time of the chat - I had simply forgotten about it or not been focused.

When is the next chat?

Karen

It was great, Karen, and I hope you can make the next one.

I think Mars is going to host one every Monday at 9.

I will host one some other time - just wondering when to do it. Any input?

Karen,

We missed you! Here is who came - Barbara, Katy, Oma, tex, Shirley, Mars, Liz (all the way from Australia) and me! It was great fun! It's a good way to learn more about each other. For example, Liz has a grandson named Indiabeau. Isn't that a cool name? Also, tex used to wrestle calves on his farm when trying to vaccinate them. Katy has a cat named Molly Wolly, and Mars calls me Polly Wolly. Barb was keeping us posted on Lou's attempts to poop - what a hoot! All of us ladies (?) offered to come to Texas to help tex on the farm. However, he didn't take us up on it. Hmmmmmmmmm........I wonder why??????

Love,

Polly

It was indeed a lot of fun. Hazel was there also. She probably arrived after you left, Polly.

Shirley, I'll bet you could get enough participation to hold a chat at least every other night, and maybe every night. It only takes two or three members to have a good chat, and if everyone knows that someone will be there every night, (or MWF, or TTSat, or whatever), then they should be less likely to forget that it's scheduled.

It depends on how big a "crew" you want to assemble. More frequent chats would probably mean fewer participants each time, but maybe not--I'm just guessing. The chat lasted nearly an hour and a half last night, if I recall correctly.

Love,

I would absolutely have loved to be there but I was in bed by 8:15 PM. Getting up by 3:30 a.m. makes it a long day and I am very busy right here now that the holidays are headed our way and events are getting going.

Will try to make one soon.

Love, M

Ooooohhh, 3:30 is a killer!! I wouldn't be doing any chats either!!

OK, how about WEDNESDAY night at 9 pm Eastern Daylight time again.
I'll do my best to be on time. I was a half hour late last night.

Also, Matthew came last night, but Polly had already left by then.

Everybody, you don't HAVE to be there right on time to have a good time.
I was 1/2 hour late last night and several came in after me so just check and see if we are still there - K

Yes it was great fun and I would love to get into it whenever I am able. 9pm EDT suits me fine as it is 11am here then so don't have to stay out of bed. Some Wednesdays (Thursday here) I would be out but if we had if we had these different times scheduled people could probably find a time that suited them. I was early too, kept popping in to see if anyone else had turned up. Just excited about I guess. :banana2:

Love to all

Karen, you were missed! I understand how life can throw you sometimes!

We had a lot of fun! Everyone can show their personality a bit more during a chat vs. the forums! Teehee

I have used the chat for different reasons and everyone will figure those out as they go along. I have discussed issues with someone relative to the formation of this board; answers to a problem I am having and need quicker responses than posting; learning about other's lives; talking about life in general and learning about flowers, cacti, weather, pets, jobs, and even how someone's husband can't poop!!!!!!!  Fits this site, huh!!!!!

I will continue to host the Monday night chat and am open to another night during the week. Some days it will work and other weeks the same night just won't fit into everyone's schedule - such is life. We each just pop in when we can. By *hosting*, I am making myself available to talk to you when you do pop in! Better than an empty room!

I always enjoy our chats! Such a neat way to help our friendships grow! I look forward to the next one (Wednesday - right Shirley!) LOL

Until next time.................

Love and hugz to you all,
Margie

Oh, how silly of me to miss such fun - it sounds like it was very enjoyable and the topics are tantalizing (the husband who can't poop  )

Shirley, I'll try to be there for your chat tomorrow night - gosh, I hope I don't get side tracked by something else; I should be back from the gym at that time. I am looking forward to meeting all of you in person
