CNN Heroes
If you watch tomorrow you might see me on your screens, a thought that might keep me awake tonight because I am EXTREMELY camera shy. I found out about that this morning.
I nominated one of the final 10, so I am going to the celebration with Adam, my son.
I just have to concentrate on sending the right vibes, so Amy Stokes and Infinite Family win.
All the heroes deserve it, but IMO the breadth, depth and width of Amy's vision is breathtaking, and far reaching in it's scope. It certainly took MY breath away!

It's such a wonderful program. I have been working with them for 3 1/2 years.

It was a wonderful evening. SO moving! You can go to the website and watch the clips there.
Our nominee won because she was there in the top 10, but she wasn't elected Hero of the Year. No matter. Just by being there the program she envisioned and built was exposed to millions, and now we hope to get the help needed to push forward. Building the computer labs costs money. That's what is needed now to build more of them.
Mentors who have been excited by this project are waiting for computer time to be matched with children in desperate need of an adult to talk to, to encourage, to help them on their way.
