Enterolab results are in

Post by Joseph7179 »

I received my lab results today from Panel A and C.

They show mild food sensitivity witha mean score of 4.
Anti-gliadin IgA 9 Units
Anti-Casein IgA 8 units
Anti-ovalbumin IgA 8 units and Anti-Soy IgA 6 units

Since I have been on GF diet for 8 years and now DF for 4 months I guess this means I should stay on both.

I have acheived remission and am on no meds now. I am off Entocort and having no issues.

I would guess that I should continure now on the plan I have set. I was diagnosed with LC by colonsocopy in 2002.

this board and the diet have been the key to my success. I am grateful for the Enterolab recommendation and will keep in touch on an ongoing basis. I have come to realize that he diet and some less stress does wonders, but the diet is key for me.

If anyone has a recommendation I would be pleased to hear it. JMH

Joseph,

Congrats on beating the MC monster! Looks like what you're doing is definitely working! I would not presume to make recommendations to such a veteran of the MC war--we should be listening to you!

Joseph,

When I read your results, I thought that you were one of the lucky few who are not sensitive to gluten and casein, but when I saw how long you've been on the diet, that explained your results. Congratulations - at least those results show that you're doing a good job with the diet.

I have a nagging suspicion that my own results may not be that good, but we'll soon see - they should be ready in about a week.

Whatever you're doing seems to be working pretty well.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
