Just Talked To Peggy

Post by Momster »

Hi:

Peggy called this morning and she is in good spirits (but it hurts when she laughs).
She spent 9 hours in emergency yesterday and the results were that her wrist had to be re-set and casted and she has 4 damaged vertebrae - 5, 6, 7 and T 1. Now I'm not sure I got those numbers right, but I think so.
Anyway, she has to wear the neck brace for 2 weeks and after that can have it off at night. In other words, she's going have a long recovery time and will have to pamper herself.
I'm going to see her on Wednesday and will let you all know how she's doing.

Today and Thursday I'll be slowly getting ready for my trip to Quebec - leaving on Friday, so probably won't be checking in too much, but promise to drop in with an update on Wed. night.

Take care everyone - especially on stairs.

Love - :pigtail: 's Momster

ps: she asked me to help her put her hair in pigtails when I go there because poor Ronny couldn't do it - I think he was afraid of hurting her.
Do something nice for you today

Poor thing. I really feel so bad for her but I know she will be glad to have her Mom there.

I can't send her an e-card because her "mailbox" is all filled up, but please tell her I tried.

Hi Momster,

Thanks for the update.

Awwwwww, that's precious that she wanted her hair in pigtails. That's our Pegster, all right. That's definitely a good sign that she's in good spirits.

I hope she can settle in and rest and heal now, without any more triips to the doctor's office for a while.

Love,
Wayne

Give her my love too and tell her we are all thinking of her and hoping she heals well and fast. Pigtails will be better for her wearing a neck bracr I am sure. Have to teach him how to do it pretty quickly.

Love

I feel soooo bad for her! Having dealt with neck issues myself it can be hard. The only thing I can tell her is even tho that neck brace is a big pain in the "neck" your head is really HEAVY. That brace needs to be her best friend for as long as she needs it.

Poor Ron, I am sure he is beside himself with worry. I am glad you will be able to give her Pippi braids. :pigtail: I am sure the hair gets in the way of the brace.

Tell her I am thinking of her and sending big cyber hugs her way!

I hope she is doing okay, but yes you are right it is going to be a long recovery. Maybe they should also check to see if her bones are thinning and she didn't know??? I was only 36 when they found my problems, and with so many broken bones and fractures, if I were her I would have that added in for a look see. That is after she is doing better though.

HUGE HUGS FOR PEG :pigtail:

You too for keeping us updated. BIG HUGS FOR MOMSTER

Bed d byes for moi.
