Gabriel,
Thank you for taking the time to chronicle your MC journey here. Others will certainly benefit from reading about your success in weaning off prednisone, despite your doctor's advise. You are yet another example of why we must take our health program into our own hands. I was told by 2 different GI's that diet had nothing to do with MC, and have proven them wrong by successfully treating my MC with diet alone. I suffered with chronic, watery, explosive D. for 10 years before finding out about the diet connection.
I can certainly understand why your son is such an inspiration to you for maintaining your health. He has an irrefutable, true gift, and will bring pleasure to many listeners when given the chance. My grandson (he is 8) has started taking piano lessons, and I cannot wait to show him the videos of your son's performance. His rendition of the Liszt piece is truly exceptional, and I enjoyed it immensely.
All the best to you as you continue on your MC journey. I hope you will keep updating here over time. As I'm sure you've learned, dealing with MC is a life-long journey, and it is great to have this support group to come to.
Love,
Kari
