Pippi Now Has Her Braids

Post by Momster »

I was able to straighten out a few knots in her very curly hair and braid it for her, so it's out of the way.

She's a very brave lady and I'm so proud of her. She's in a lot of pain and it will be awhile before things settle down, but like she said, it could have been worse - she will mend.

I left her a little buddy to keep her company - a hummingbird like the one in my avtar to sit in her flowers - his name is Buzzy and he's going to keep her company while Mom is away. I know Ronny will look after her really well and her sister, Lisa, is going over next week to take her some home cooked TV dinners (to give Ronny some help) and fix her hair again. Lisa will do a better job than me - she's a qualified hairdresser.

I know she'll be fine, but it's just hard for me to go away at this time.

Now I have to get busy and get organized and packed and off on the plane on Friday morning. I know we'll have a good time and the Fall colours will be just beautiful.

I'll talk to you all when I get back.

Love - Momster

Thank you so much for the update, Momster. I know it's hard for you to leave her, but she will have care from others and that's great.

I know she must be in a LOT of pain but I hope it will improve soon.

Glad to hear a good report! So sorry she is going through this. You sure never know from one moment to the next!

I bet you did a fine job of braiding. From the pictures it looks like Peg has a good head of hair! Hey, maybe that cushioned her fall...a little...?

Have a great trip to the East!

Thanks for the update too, Momster. God she must be having it hard. Thank goodness you were able to do her hair in braids, at least she won't have to worry about combing it, and it will keep it tamed down too. Poor girl.

Don't know if you will check back here before you leave, but hope you have a nice trip. The colours should be beautiful too, all those maples. The leaves are starting to change a bit here, but not much yet, as the weather has been more like summer. It is supposed to cool down tomorrow with some rain, but then the temps are supposed to go right back up to mid 20's (that's celsius, in the mid 70's in farenheit). So hopefully that will be the weather that greets you once you are in Quebec.

Later then,

Hugs
