Out Of Gas here!!!!

Post by annie oakley »

Well when I went into work at 10am...my store was out of Gasoline. I only hope that the other stores around town have some. Or I may not be going to work or anywhere in a few days. Mike is in College Station...a few evacuee's told me they were out of gas there in College station. I sure hope he doesn't get stuck...I am worried. So you gotta know that our business was way down. We didn't get any bad weather here in winters. Or in Ballinger. I hope everyone fared well and no one Died. I haven't heard from Mike today yet. Maybe I will by the time I log back on this evening. Wow! The epidemic of empty gas tanks has spread a looooooooong way, if it reached all the way out there. I believe this is the first time that such outages have covered such a huge area, at least in this part of the world.

That, in itself, will probably slow down the migration back to the coast.

I can hardly believe the gas stations are empty all the way there, but I imagine they diverted all gas deliveries to places closer to Houston. It's absolutely incredible the things that have happened in the last month. Makes me shudder to think of it all.

Let us know when you hear from Mike. I hope he won't be held up there too long.

Mike told me today that there were Gas tankers all over Baytown (where he now is with the generator) Filling the stations tanks. He said they were told that as Shirley Suggested...They are diverting most of the Gas to places closer to where Rita struck. Hopfully we will be getting some gas soon. Love Oma
