Hmmmmm. I thought that project was dead, since I hadn't heard anything about it in a long time. Maybe something will develop, after all.

There's one slightly misleading segment in the story - the chigger incident actually occurred in 2003. The story sort of infers that it happened in 2005. Apparently it took until 2005 for the father to figure out the connection, and decide to try a helminth treatment. The chigger bite date is noted on page 3 of the article at the link below. (Not that it really matters).
