Roni question/ rice oil for frying

Post by Lucy »

Hi Roni,

Remember when, back on the old board's Diet room you mentioned something about using brown rice oil to fry chicken.

I've seen some rice BRAN oil at the store -- is that what you meant to say or is it something different?

Sooo, this rice oil must have a high smoke point, then...right?

Yours, Luce

Just saw this post. Rice oil has a high frying tempeture, but is very expensive. Grapeseed oil also has a high frying tempeture and is a bit less expensive.
