Hi Babci,

I am so worried about Tessa. She sent me an email this morning saying she was much worse. Her GP lowered her dose of medication this past week, and she had become much sicker, even though she increased it back to the original dose on her own. She said she might have to go back to the emergency room again today and not be able to wait until the cardiologist appt. tomorrow. I sent her 2 return emails this morning and never heard back from her (she never opened them, which is unusual for her). I wonder if she has been hospitalized? I sincerely hope so - she needs a full cardiology workup ASAP. IMHO. She told me that if she were hospitalized that she would have a friend contact me (her hubby doesn't speak English), but that it may take several days. Meanwhile, I think she can use our positive thoughts and prayers.

Love,

Polly

I notice that she hasn't checked the board since 6:12 am, CDST. I hope that she's receiving the medical attention that she needs.

Oh Polly

Haven't "talked" to her in a couple of days. I agree. What is going on doesn't sound good & she needs to be Rx. Thanks so much for letting me know. We've been chatting about my upcoming trip & her biggest concern was that she was afraid. Will send her light & love. Let me know what you hear. Thanks again. Love & light, Rita

I am back

My dear friends, Mis queridos amigos
:bigbighug:

Let´s start step by step. Last evening, in bed, though I still had some discomfort, I already felt a little better. Then, this morning I´ve seen the cardiologist.
He took my pulse, checked my heart and made an echocardiography.

 He did not found any heart disease, nor failure.
 He said there was no pericarditis
 He said I should stop the treatment immediately, as it could hurt my stomach and gut.

Isn´t it great?

Of course, I asked why I was suffering this pain... :???:
He said he was a cardiologist and that he only checked the heart :???: , adding that was all he could say and that we should return to my GP for further information on which specialist to go now. (You see, he wasn´t very communicative  ).

Well, to be honest, I am a little confused about this. But we have no other information from the specialist. :???:
No idea of what this could be... At least, it seems there is nothing important with the heart, which is a great relief  and very important.

I do not know if an echocardiography is enough as check up to know if I have any heart failure or not... Someone told me I should make an effort chardiography, but with this cardiologist, nothing was possible. He just didn´t listen to me... (You know what I mean)

Following his instructions, I have stopped the treatment... As I was feeling better since yesterday evening, up to now, I am Ok.

My app. with my GP is on Thursday...
Any idea of what the next step will be?

Your worries have reached my heart. :pulsinghearts:  (I cry of emotion)... I deeply appreciate and thank you for your love and for caring so much for me...

Hi Tessa,

Thank you so much for the update on your condition, and all the information. It is a huge relief to see that test result. Yes, the echocardiogram is a very useful test, and it is relatively easy to interpret, so I believe that you can be confident about the doctors findings.

Here is a description of that test, in case you need more information on it:

http://www.heartsite.com/html/echocardiogram.html

As you say, the next question is, "what has been causing your pain?"

Do you still have your gallbladder? Pain from gallbladder disease is usually felt just under the lower edge of the ribcage, slightly to the right of center, and can go all the way through, to the back. Has your GP checked for possible gallbladder problems?

Wayne

I had visions of you being in the hospital already. So VERY glad you are not!!

I do hope the GP will be able to steer you in the right direction this time.

Morning Tessa,

So relieved to hear it had nothing to do with your heart but I do hope they get to the bottom of the problem and that your suffering will soon be over.

Love, Maggie

Hello, my dear friends... Hola, mis queridos amigos
:bigbighug:

Thank you for caring. For your support and positive vibs... :pulsinghearts:

Though it was a relief, we have decided going to a private cardiologist.
The hospital´s cardiologist was very rude, he even didn´t listened to us... For instance, he asked (4 times) if I had fever and everytime I answered...he walked away without listening to my answer... The echocardiography took around 2 minutes... ... :???:

Well, as I am still not 100 % ok, we thought it would be better to check this up and be sure of the real cause of it... Don´t you think so?

Once again, thank you all for your good vibs and love. I really, really appreciate it. In fact, I have been thinking on you. Your support helps.
 Thanks for being there, my dear friends.

Love,
Tessa
