I'm fine-tuning keywords for search engines. What do people usually search for when they search for a site such as this?

microscopic colitis
microscopic colitis support
microscopic colitis information
microscopic colitis help
or what?

Also C.C. and L.C. spelled out of course.

Perhaps chronic D if you want those not diagnosed yet on the forum? Not sure of your thoughts on this one. Brandy

Chronic D is a bit broad, and CC and LC are already listed. What I'm wondering is how you found us - IOW, real-life data.

I was not aware of the general term of MC so everything I typed in for years was CC. I found very little information and what I did find was very brief and basically explained that the cause isn't know and there is no cure. It was very frustrating.

That's the problem with the internet - unless you know what you're searching for, you can't find it. I had the same problem, when I first started looking for information, years ago. I didn't even know what I had, so I didn't know what the key search words might be - it took me almost 4 years to find the old board.

I'm pretty sure I searched for lymphocytic colitis or microscopic colitis. I find the less words the better, usually.

I found the old forum very easily using the words Microscopic Colitis. I only found this website because someone on that board - I think it was Lucy - directed someone to this website. I never found this site using a search engine. But that was almost 5 years ago. It's probably different now.

Tex, I believed I searched both Lymphocytic Colitis support and Microscopic Colitis support, and it led me here.

I typed in Microscopic Colitis in 2003 and found Sally's old board..... the rest is history. HaHa

I now know enough so that if I'm on a strange computer I will type in Microscopic Colitis Support to have our site appear at the top of the list.

I first stumbled across this board by searching for "diarrhea coconut", looking for information on whether coconut was really helpful in controlling diarrhea.

I now have the forum bookmarked on my computer, but if I'm on a different one, I type in "microscopic colitis support".
