Hello everyone, I am embarrassed to ask this question, but I have been researching online and cannot find any information on this. My stool has been small, mostly round, fluffy, almost clear balls with dark or black hairs coming out of them. It almost looks like spiders. Does anyone have any idea of what this could be. It has happened before, but not to this extent. Any information would be greatly appreciated. I hope everyone is doing well.

The "almost clear" part, with "dark or black hairs coming out of them", parts of the description are something I've never encountered before. Maybe someone else has seen that.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
It's very odd. I've looked all over the internet and can't find anything like it. I'd like to take a sample to my gastro and have them look at it, but it's at a hospital and I think they would just want to send it to the lab. I may call tommorrow to see if they could just take a quick look. It's somewhat disturbing. I've noticed the larger the fuzzy pieces are, the more black hairs are coming out of them.
Have you been eating bananas? Some people have reported black filaments coming out of stool after eating bananas.
