Flu shot reaction

Yeah Polly,

I was going to mention that the reaction could be to the carrier that the virus is in. Could easily be gluten! That would explain the reaction.

I had a one day cold a few weeks ago. My body really fought if off fast. I too avoid the shots, but don't know what I'll do if the Avian flu becomes a pandemic. Might be worth feeling awful for a few days do avoid the very real chance of death. Us MCers will probably be the survivors though with our over active immune systems!

Hi Joana. I took flu shots from 1999 through 2003 with no reaction to the shots and no flu. Last year (the year I got LC) I wasn't able to get the shot due to the shortage. And I didn't get the flu then either!

I'm not sure what to do this year. I have been feeling so well since January (thank the Lord) that I don't want to tempt fate. I'll be following what others have to say about these shots.

Note to Jean, you would make a great detective! I think you are right on the mark with your observation that maybe it was the carrier the virus was in. It make a lot of sense to me!
