Hi Tessa,
Yes, I agree, if that cardiologist did not spend any more time than that, examining you, you definitely should see another one. I don't believe you can trust a doctor who is that distracted, and unconcerned, during the exam.
Good luck, and I hope the next one listens to what you have to say.
Love,
Wayne

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Hi Tessa!
Sorry to be so late posting - I have had guests the past few days. But, of course, I did lurk to make sure you were OK.
I am really baffled about what you have. Every single symptom you described seemed heart-related and specifically pointed to pericarditis. ??????? Plus, I am very angry that the cardiologist did not even listen to you.
So I am happy to hear that you will be seeing another cardiologist. I know it will cost $$$$$, but you don't want to take any chances with the heart, right? If the new cardiologist also thinks that you do not have a heart problem, please be sure to ask him, in his experience, what other medical condidtions he has seen that seem to mimic pericarditis. At least that might point you in the direction to go from there.
Buena suerte, mi querida amiga!
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Tessa, I am so glad that you are getting a second opinion. When you see a doctor that treats you like he did, and would not listen, you have to wonder if his mind was actually on the task he was supposed to be doing?
I do not want to worry you but both my sister and my father were told there was no heart problems after they were given a stress test, and both DID have problems. Within a week of their tests they had heart related problems that ended them up in the hospital, where it did finally show up. In my sister's case, one pupil became dilated, on her left side, and stayed that way. So glad you are not taking any chances.
Sending you Big Gentle Hugs

He was flying..without wind....
Thank you for your comments.
No, Wendy, I do not think his mind was on the task he was doing... He was not only completely absent-minded but also very rude and unpolite. I felt really when he was carrying out the chardiography... (You know what I mean).
I tried to explain the symptoms more than twice, but he did not listen to my words... And when he said there was no sign of heart diseases, he just ignored us... and waved us away...
The truth is we are living with my symptoms and for sure we know there IS something wrong. But, of course we are not a cardiologist to determine the exact reason.
But we will get there, soon. I am sure... I need it too. I need to go back to work and live a normal life...
Thank you all for your words,
