Just got my MRT results 3/20/12

Discussions can be posted here about mediator release testing (MRT), as offered by Oxford Biological Technologies, in conjunction with the LEAP program, which is claimed to determine a relative level of sensitivity to various foods and chemicals by measuring an increase in the ratio of liquids to solids in a blood sample that has been exposed to a specific allergen.

Joan,

The number of reds isn't necessarily significant. While single foods can be very problematic, often it is a cumulative effect. Take into consideration all fo the high greens and yellows as well. Inflammation arises from the release of various mediators and cytokines that are released when an antigen is consumed, so the more antigens you consume the worse the response.

Having just one red is good, but there are a lot of yellows. Of course, cocoa jumped out at me. I think that reds will forever be off our acceptable list, but hopefully some low yellows are possible in the future (specifically chocolate). Cocoa was green for me, but the histamine keeps it on my forbidden list.
