Could the altered diet have this effect?

Post by Christine. »

Ok....this is truly great, but hard to believe. My autoimmune baggage is in the form of psoriasis. I have had mild to moderate patches on my scalp, elbows, and knees since I was a kid. I have always treated it with steroid creams with o.k.-but-not-perfect results. Today it occurred to me that I am completely clear of psoriasis! I have never been absolutely free of it in the past, especially after months of limited winter sun. (yes, even in California there is less sun in winter). Could it be that my gf/df/sf/ef diet has impacted this pesky rash?

Hi Chris,

Yes it could. According to my theory, most, (probably all, in fact), of the so-called autoimmune diseases are triggered by the same sequence of events that causes MC, and their symptoms can be food-sensitivity-related. I can't go into detail at the moment, because I'm about to publish a book that discusses this in detail, and I don't want to be accused of self- plagiarism, when the book is published.

Enjoy the "new" you.

Tex

P. S. Would you be willing to allow me to use a copy of your post in the book, (as a testimonial to the effectiveness of the diet), in exchange for a free copy of the book?

Chris - I have had a patch of psoriasis on one elbow for years. It never got better, was very painful, and caused some nerve damage.
Since I cut out gluten, dairy, soy among other foods, it has just about disappeared. The only reason it sticks around a little bit is because I can never prevent myself from leaning on my elbow. My dermatologist didn't believe me, but now he asks to see it each time I visit.

and Tex, you can use this with pleasure.

Oh Tex
I just re-read my first post. If you decide to use it please correct the typos. You would think a lawyer could spell, wouldn't you.

Sure, I'll take care of that.

Thanks,
