Believe it or not, that's a fairly common routine when this disease is active. My pattern was very similar, except that I almost always had an early-afternoon event, also. Once I got all that out of the way, I was usually good until about evening, so I almost always scheduled my deliveries and any other trips, for mid-afternoon.

Linda, this whole thing will likely help you shed some weight, but for some of us, it's not a good thing. Hopefully, you will only shed a little before you start healing. Being a fitness trainer, I have to say that these dietary changes you are being forced to make are actually healthy ones.... and all that "up/down, up/down is like doing squats! ha ha

Linda, I was a lot like you where I mostly went in the morning. Consider yourself fairly lucky because you can go about your day without too much worry. Just give yourself enough time in the morning to get things done. I have a feeling the Entocort will help.

THANKS EVERYONE!!! You have all given me some very useful tools so I can take control if something bad happens. If it happens, I'll be prepared.

I think one of the most helpful things for me is that I'm not alone. Others have walked this road ahead of me and are so willing to share what has been helpful for them. It's taking away some of the stress and the isolation I have felt dealing with this on my own.

Leah, Today at Crossfit it was jump rope big time. I think I'd rather be doing squats but not chained to the toilet every morning.

Endecort has shipped. Can't wait!

Hi Linda,

Think it is positive you are staying with your exercise regimen. I continued with mine thru the whole thing although lessened my weights and some days did not go depending on how I felt. Brandy

Brandy, I am most often the oldest in the class and probably most often the slowest. I do the workout of the day with some modifications if needed. For me it's not so much about how long it takes me but that I complete what I've set out to do. I consider the others there athletes. I'm not but I have the desire to work hard, challenge myself and increase strength. I really hope I can get the same mindset when it comes to what I put in my mouth. Crossfit is big into Paleo which is where I want to be. Those here say eating the right foods for me will become second nature. That's what I'm really hoping for.

You go girl! The food thing has taken me awhile (which I probably suffered for) but it is becoming my new normal. Dinner tonight: grass fed steak, sauteed greens in coconut oil w/ onion, sweet potato w/ soy free earth balance, how bad is that? I'll probably have an inch of dry white wine since I go on vacation tomorrow. Brandy

That sounds amazing. I haven't tried out the coconut oil because it looks so strange at the store. What kind do you buy?

It is great that you are working out Linda! My clients were very surprised to see that I was still doing it all. When I was at my worst, my intensity was lower, but I listened to my body ( as should everyone) I think I also did pretty well through it because i drink a "green drink" that is just full of great things ( Catie's Gluten Free Greens) It doesn't taste great, but it gives me lots of energy and it boosts my immunity.

Brandy, you dinner sounds great. I'm having pork loin :)

I'm not Brandy, but I'll tell you that I use LouAna brand coconut oil, which I buy at the grocery store (Kroger). It is solid below 76 degrees, and liquid above that, so they have to sell it in a wide-mouth jar. I buy pure rather than virgin, because it doesn't have a strong coconut smell, which the virgin does. I prefer not to have everything coconut. Coconut oil is supposed to be quite healthful.

I also use coconut oil instead of hand and body lotion. It's really multi-purpose stuff.

Leah, I'm going to have to try the "green" drink. I can use all the energy I can get keeping up with the others in my class. I'm not a fan of cooked veggies unless they are green, red or yellow peppers. I like onions and mushrooms too. I don't like the taste of cooked carrots, broccoli, cauliflower or potatoes. I thought about trying to go the soup route. I really miss my spinach salads but I understand I need to stay away from that for awhile. I've read that tomatoes and peppers are a no no while I'm trying to heal. :sad:

Today we did a 1000m row, four rounds of 120 jump ropes, 30 russian twists, 20 kettle bell high pulls, and 10 knees to elbows on the pull up bar. After all four rounds, I ended with a 800m run. Took me 35 minutes but at least I did it. Maybe the green drink would make me super woman! :grin:

Martha, Thanks for the recommendation for LouAna coconut oil. Do you usually cook with it exclusively or do you use other oils?

Sounds like you are already super woman! i wish my clients worked that hard. I started kettle bells tonight with two of my clients for the first time and I had to go VERY light ( 5 and 8lb.) Soounds like you are doing great.

Yes, the green drink makes it so I don't feel the need to cook veggie's all the time. Peppers and tomatoes both bother me right now, but maybe in the future :)

Gotta try the green drink. I use a 26 pound kettle bell. Not sure I want to go any heavier yet. Maybe after having the green drink I will. :grin: When I started crossfit two years ago, I couldn't even do a sit up by myself. Now I can do more than my sons.
